A series of romantic poetry books designed as part of a publication design course at NID, Ahmedabad. The books used the works of two famous romantic poets - MeerTaqi Meer, an Urdu poet and William Wordsworth

an english romantic poet.

 

The process involved creating a language for the series of the booklets that also brought out the literary styles of each poet. The challenge was also to work with bilingual text and yet maintain the visual language across the two books.

 

Small elements such as typographic ornaments, hand done calligraphy on the covers and the choice of the paper and the typefaces were used to illustrate the romanticism of the works.
