OVERVIEW

A proposal for an interface designed for doctors to write prescriptions which can be printed as well as updated on an online database of medical records. Done as part of an interaction design project.

 

CHALLENGE

A few problems that were identified and attempted to resolve were illegibility of prescriptions, tedious documentation processes and improper medical records by looking at combinations of digital and analog mediums to improvise the interactions of the users involved. 

 

PROCESS

The design process looked at both macro and micro level solutions. Suggested solutions were tested and argued based on practical and innovative parameters. As the project progressed it was seen that it would be appropriate to connect the concept of a simplified interaction with the prescription to a larger system for simplifying medical records. I also attempted to understand and suggest a few possibilities to include other related users such as the pharmacists.
