RELIANCE
A Clinical Trial for COPD
CHALLENGE
The work I did for the RELIANCE project was part of a project at the Centre for Collaborative Healthcare Design at the IIT Institute of Design. The centre serves as the Communication Center for this 24 site trial.
As part of the initial phase of this project our team was responsible for designing prototypes for a suite of recruit + retention tools to create the seamless study experience for patients, their families and clinical staff.

PROTOTYPING AS RESEARCH
A data collection tool that I designed to map the workflow of hospitals as part of the research for identifying how the enrollment process for RELIANCE could be fit into existing hospital workflows.
The template designed to map a patient's flow through hospitals
Comparing different hospital flows to derive insights and opportunities to design the clinical trial enrollment flow
Prototyping a variety of tools and artifacts for recruitment and patient retention for a nationwide clinical trial for COPD
Visual prototypes of an e-consent process
TESTING ENROLLMENT FLOW
Another low fidelity tool designed to capture various configurations of the RELIANCE study enrollment process as seen by different experts from different hospitals across Chicagoland area.
